Equilibria liquidity pools can record a deposit outside your wallet’s LP balance
Equilibria liquidity pools can account for deposited Pendle LP tokens through receipt tokens or a recorded stake. A missing wallet balance therefore doesn’t establish that a deposit failed. Start with the original transaction, the account that received the position, and the exact pool. Match those records before depositing again. For an existing position, the immediate task is locating its balance; historical reward descriptions don’t establish whether that pool currently accepts new deposits.
A missing wallet LP balance needs reconciliation against the deposit receipt and pool records before another transaction changes the position.
The LP balance disappeared after a deposit
A completed deposit can remove the original LP tokens from your wallet while creating a corresponding position elsewhere.
Equilibria’s booster implementation distinguishes deposits that stake the receipt tokens from deposits that leave those tokens with the depositor. That distinction determines where the resulting balance belongs. A wallet screen showing only the original Pendle LP token can therefore omit the position that replaced it. This is a reason to inspect the transaction’s actual operation, rather than infer failure from the disappearing token.
Don’t count the underlying LP holding and its receipt as separate deposits. They represent linked parts of the same position.
Match the account and pool before interpreting a balance
The relevant balance belongs to a particular account and contract on a particular network, so establish those identities first.
The account that received the position
Use the public account recorded in the deposit transaction. A wallet application can manage multiple accounts, and reconnecting doesn’t establish which account originally deposited. Where a transaction credits a beneficiary, that credited address matters as well. Keep the transaction hash and account together while reviewing the position, especially when the currently connected account differs from the one in the receipt.
A balance lookup doesn’t move tokens. It is an appropriate first action when you’re unsure what happened.
The contract behind the pool name
Match the deposit to its pool identifier, market token, and associated reward pool. A similar display name doesn’t establish that two contracts hold the same position. Compare records from the same network and a consistent point in time. Otherwise, an older balance reading can appear to contradict a newer transaction even though both describe valid states.
Keep LP deposits separate from ePENDLE staking when searching account records. Finding the latter doesn’t locate the missing liquidity position.
Did the transaction deposit tokens or only approve spending?
A successful approval authorizes spending, while a completed deposit must also produce the position changes associated with the selected operation.
Approval without a deposit
An ERC-20 approval sets a spender’s allowance without transferring the approved tokens.
The approval transaction can succeed even when no later deposit takes place. Its amount describes permission, not an amount already invested. Read the operation and receipt rather than relying on a generic success notification. A separate approval that succeeded can also remain in place after a subsequent deposit transaction failed.
A pending or unsuccessful deposit
Submission alone doesn’t establish execution. A pending transaction has no completed deposit result to reconcile, while a reverted transaction doesn’t preserve its attempted deposit changes. Check whether the wallet shows a replacement transaction before treating an earlier hash as the final outcome. Repeating the deposit while its status remains unresolved adds another operation to investigate.
Wait for an unresolved transaction to reach a definite outcome. Consider retrying only after establishing what failed and whether the intended operation remains available.
Read the stake separately from the displayed valuation
A token quantity answers how much the contract records, while a portfolio valuation estimates what that quantity is worth.
Equilibria’s BaseRewardPoolV2_1 implementation exposes each account’s recorded stake through its balanceOf function.
That read must target the reward pool associated with the position. Calling the same function name on a token contract answers a different balance question. An application’s claimable rewards display also concerns earnings rather than deposited principal. A blank valuation or reward field therefore isn’t sufficient evidence that the recorded stake is absent.
For reconciliation, compare quantities expressed in the same token units. A changing price can alter a displayed portfolio value without changing the recorded token quantity.
A missing wallet entry with a matching recorded stake
In this hypothetical example, the original LP entry disappears after an intended deposit with staking enabled. Assume the account had no earlier position or subsequent activity. The expected result is a credited stake for that account in the selected pool.
The reader first matches the transaction’s account and network, then reads the associated reward-pool balance. The receipt confirms a successful deposit with staking, and the credited quantity matches the deposited LP quantity under that operation’s accounting. The missing wallet entry now has an explanation: the position resides in the staking records. No replacement deposit is necessary to resolve that display symptom.
Suppose inspection instead reveals a deposit without staking and a corresponding receipt-token balance in the wallet. The assumption that a stake should exist was wrong. The deposit can be accounted for without treating an empty staking field as a loss. If neither the receipt balance nor the stake explains the transaction, stop before signing another operation and preserve the transaction details for investigation.
Legacy rewards don’t establish present deposit availability
Pendle introduced sPENDLE to replace vePENDLE, while existing vePENDLE locks wind down, so Equilibria’s original boosting description cannot establish present rewards or availability for a particular pool. This upstream change doesn’t, by itself, explain a missing balance or prove that an existing position has vanished. Keep the historical deposit record separate from the question of which operations the relevant contracts can execute now.
Finish the reconciliation before choosing an exit
The diagnosis is complete when the transaction and subsequent activity account for the position in the correct account and pool.
Confirm the transaction’s final status, the credited account, the token or stake that it created, and any later movement. A recorded deposit followed by a withdrawal requires a different interpretation from a deposit whose position remains untouched. If the records disagree, retain the precise mismatch instead of assuming that refreshing, claiming rewards, or adding funds will repair it.
A balance read is preferable to a test withdrawal when the immediate goal is locating the position. Withdrawal changes the holding and may involve additional contract dependencies. If an exit is the actual goal, distinguish returning a staking receipt from recovering the underlying Pendle LP token; neither description alone means that liquidity has been removed into the desired asset. Resolve where the position sits before selecting the operation that changes it.
Practical questions about Equilibria liquidity pools
-
Can importing a token into my wallet reveal a missing Equilibria position?
- Importing the correct token can display a wallet-held receipt, but it won’t turn a recorded stake into a wallet token balance. The contract address and network must match the position. Adding an unrelated token with a similar name doesn’t locate the deposit or alter ownership.
-
Will revoking an allowance return my deposited LP tokens?
- Revoking an allowance changes a spender’s permission to move tokens still held by the account. It doesn’t withdraw tokens that have already entered a deposit position. Recovery of an existing position requires the applicable withdrawal operation, subject to that contract’s behavior and availability.
-
Why does a raw contract balance look much larger than the wallet amount?
- A raw balance can use the token’s smallest units, while the wallet applies its decimal precision for display. Compare both readings using the same token decimals before concluding that the quantities disagree. Don’t assume that every receipt token uses a particular precision.
-
What information helps someone investigate an unexplained LP balance?
- The transaction hash, network, public account, pool contract, and the expected versus displayed quantities help identify the mismatch. Those public details can reveal account activity, so share them deliberately. A seed phrase or private key isn’t needed to inspect the transaction and would give someone control of the account.
